Catalyzing a Movement for Better

In September 2021, Janine Firpo, author of Activate Your Money, joined forces with Ellen Remmer to empower other women to take control of their money through values-aligned investing. Their endeavor, Invest for Better, had been incubating for over two years under The Philanthropic Initiative, is now a standalone 501(c)3 organization.

Invest for Better meets you where you are, and provides the knowledge, community, and confidence needed to take action and invest in alignment with your values. The non-profit brings people together in small peer-led circles that allow them to build trust, share ideas, and seek better investment opportunities for themselves, their communities and the world. As each Invest for Better member is inspired to take control of their money, they have not only the members of their Circle, but an entire community of peers and financial experts to support their personal journey.

The original learning circles started in living rooms where women gathered in search of shared learning and trusted community. During the COVID pandemic, the model went virtual enabling everyone around the world to empower themselves financially.

New circles form several times a year. If you would like to learn more, visit Invest for Better and be sure to check out the Get Involved page.
