Climate First Bank. The nation’s first climate-focused bank will be launching in Florida’s St. Petersburg/Tampa region in 2021.

First Women’s Bank. Although women-owned businesses are growing twice as fast as the national average, they receive just 16% of business loans. Grasshopper Bank. Grasshopper Bank is a commercial bank targeting founders, companies, and investors within the innovation economy. Founded and led by a woman, it was named after Admiral Gracie Hopper, a Naval officer, computer pioneer, and part of the team that created the first computer language on which banking was built. Given its mandate, this bank won’t be for everyone. However, it is an example of the innovation that is taking place in banking.
